What are in your opinion the top dogmas in VC?

I start with 5 (3 more in comments)

1 Bigger is better & correlation with fund success
2 VC firms only invest in large markets and avoid niches
3 VC do not invest in hardware
4 VC firms only chase "Winner-takes-most"
5 Founders should never insist for VC feedback

Other dogmas: VC has performance consistency as an asset class (i.e. past performance is predictor of future performance), Your fund size IS your strategy, portfolio construction is necessary but not sufficient for a venture outcome, price discipline is less important in earlier stages

and reserves too ! big advocates of no reserves for pre-seed micro funds
