MediaPipe Model Maker customizes existing ML models using transfer learning, which speeds up training and requires less data. It modifies the model’s final layers to fit new data, creating smaller, more focused models. The tool needs about 100 samples per class and cannot change the model’s original purpose, only adapt it to new classes.
