This is literally just power law distribution, it's what most social networks, really most networks, fall into and will be what happens with Farcaster too as it grows.

It is interesting that it's not a perfect power law and that it's based on the number of casts versus the number of connections but I expect the results to come from the same source, people aren't getting the same value out of the network we are.

You’re so right. I want Farcaster to succeed so want to think about creative ways we can encourage more activity and engagement from wider audience despite these known hurdles

The way you will know it's successful is if people use it as a tool, not because it's cool. You want to see people casting about gardening and hobbies and building communities. That's organic sticky growth. But that is the chicken and egg problem. The way you encourage that is by being interested in boosting that stuff

Realistically the goal should probably be, if we want huge growth, is to get community migration. But I think that will kill the vibe. I think the invite strategy is smart RN. Keep Farcaster Cozy.
