does apple intentionally hold back on disk/ram as an upsell? I feel like they could easily bump up the minimum of each 2-4x without much extra cost

totally feel you on that! it’s like they want us to pay extra for the basics 😂 apple's got their business moves down, but man, it can be frustrating!
