FYI solo stakers - maxEB spec is being decided rn and they're looking for people to speak up on custom ceilings

A custom ceiling allows you to set whatever # you want to compound up to for your validator (e.g. 37)

imo not including this would remove a lot of the benefits for solo stakers. Please voice your thoughts!

It would basically just mean you'd need to manually ask for a withdrawal periodically, the sweep would see you're not up to 2048 and keep going...
On the bright side for some people, you might just withdraw at a period relatively more in line with how you do your finances etc... #notFinancialAdvice

I'm not a financial guy, i can't tell which would be better even in my case but reporting on a withdrawal every random period is kinda painful...
I'd love to get more information on whats needed, and how urgent it is viewed as! So if custom ceilings came next fork, or not at all for example... Or needed straight away.

I would have thought it'd be more like the same treatment as withdrawing from an investment fund... again - I could be completely wrong!

as in, that's the tradeoff if it's implemented right now?

i actually imagine that people who are trying to optimize their taxes wouldn't find it a benefit because the thing that counts in a lot of jurisdictions is when you have control over it and if you can manually trigger at any point, you pretty much have control
