Value and price are not the same, although they are frequently used interchangeably lately. A view derived from Eugene Fama suggests prices reflect the amount of money for which an asset is bought/sold, while value is derived from an asset's intrinsic value.

A philosophical view is that the only thing with true intrinsic value is happiness/wellbeing. Under this lens, Bitcoin could be seen as having intrinsic value if it increases human welfare by providing financial freedom, for example.
