Because crypto as an actual payment method is an utter joke. I am a (non-web3) dev and I bought a small amount of eth to claim my preferred ENS name. It was a horrible experience and that was using Coinbase’s exchange and wallet. The transaction fees alone were more than I’d pay for a normal DNS domain.
