Mistakes happen. Comms get botched. I've never interacted with @jrdsctt before but I'm mollified by the fact that he immediately reached out when I replyguy'd my displeasure about it.

And I'm not concerned with my own ability to mint. Whatever. I'm not getting curated. Gucci.

But to chop Perfesser?

I searched makersplace on X and there are quite a lot of artists that got the letter then a reply that it was an accident,  weird mistake

Oh something definitely went off the rails.

It's possible to get caught up in it when pitchforks come out, but I'd lean on the fact that I've had nothing but good interactions with the MP team (basically just @aishacarmen555).

Because I don't use Discord anymore, it's harder to get the actual story on some things.

Oh, this group can advocate for itself. Nobody wants or needs me to be involved. I'm not here to white knight, either. I just thought it was worth mentioning. But thanks for doing stuff and things! It's all great for art and artists. I'd laugh my ass off if anyone tried to curate me, so really it's like daytime soaps.

It was a really difficult decision but our team felt that tightening curation is the best thing for our artists, collectors and community in the long run. The fact that some artists received the email who shouldn’t have, is not okay. If there are others that you know of please let me know and we’ll make it right.

This did cross my mind. But losing the trust and good faith of artists isn't worth any amount of press (in my opinion, which hardly matters here).

My soul is tired of the constant fight to the death to just be a tiny bit seen.

Maybe it was the best marketing ploy ever because we are all talking about makersplace now 😂
