it’s wild the amount of content that gets ‘recycled’ as current news in most of the social apps for the sake of engagement — this is probably on the playbook of social media ‘gRowTh HacKeRs’. The newer the app, the more it happens as audiences change. haven’t experienced this on FC yet but dare to say it will eventually. on threads 2d ago / original news from 2024

profile on threads has close to 42k followers. this shit works obviously. but i think it’s a good example that can lead to preventing it from getting repeated on algo-reliant apps
