Mainly there will be plastic waste so plastic around the beaches finally reaches the oceans either in their original form by wind or other mechanisms, or in micro form due to extreme heat (diff climatic factors) which will be ingested by the organisms and ultimately hamper the marine ecosystem. So, cleaning the beach helps in achieving (6 and 14 number goals) of 17 SDGs. As of now we don't have certain formula-like things I believe; hence, in this case to measure impact, we can weigh the collected waste and relate it to the above points.

Well how much areas was cleaned, how much material was gathered, I would also take into consideration to pick up thousands of small pieces of plastic is harder than picking up the larger obvious ones… just my quick 2 cents🤙

Here we currently measure by kg, and at some point we would like to be able to do the separation of all material to understand the quantities of each material. In addition, we marked the start and end times to try to understand the garbage density of the location. We have everything in Excel for better visualization and the possibility of reports crossing the data.
