@rocketman
half baked thought, but venture capital works because they deploy billions across thousands of startups. dollar per person funded is in the ~$100k-1mil range tiny % of bets end up being a home run nounish home runs will not be cutting edge tech startups, but thousand person subcultures now able to thrive and self-fund we're still funding projects like a VC with 100x less capital than most firms. we can do better than the VC structure. we have programmable money! most nounish subcultures don't get a chance to blossom because we're funding a tiny # of them and the barriers to get funded via proposal are so high hypothesis is ten-thousand person subcultures can get started with just a few people getting paid in the $100-1k range revolutions have been started with much less if we want to succeed, we should fund at least 1000x the # of builders since we're giving way less $ and targeting a different success case: onchain local revolution
