where do most farcaster follows come from?

i see some accounts that barely post grow as fast as users that post multiple times per day. do all the follows just come from recommended follow tab and not as much from actual posting?

maybe they're popular on other channels like x or youtube?

I think I usually find/follow folks from replies. If I go through the replies on someone's cast and I think they said something interesting, I'll check out their profile.

I've also noticed some accounts have few posts, but their replies are active
