I can’t believe they just gave up so easily

i haven’t kept up with them much but from an outsider it feels like they didn’t iterate a lot indeed for the capital involved in the endeavour

the product itself was high quality and demonstrated the team had a lot of potential (hence HP acquiring the team). add that to the fact they were working on an important problem (even if their first solution was incorrect), from an investor perspective that's a good recipe to bet on solving that particular technology problem.

but given the fact that they gave up, it appears it was wise to not invest more in that team this time. apparently not the right leadership mix
