bots were actually good for business. my launch posts used to get 500-1000s of likes (with hundreds of clickthroughs). today I'm lucky if it hits 50. if bots boosting my posts meant real users were more likely to see them as well, I gladly take the tradeoff

I’ve seen somebody else say this too, and I can’t believe people actually prefer this slop just to boost their own projects.

i don’t understand why this would be dishonest? i prefer more engagement from real people, doesn’t necessarily need to be through bots but it helped and i didn’t really mind them?

I find it dishonest to benefit from an algorithm that prioritizes followers and reactions at the expense of others, creating a vicious cycle. While it’s okay to have a different perspective, my principles do not align with that.
