some book series are so well-written and intricately interconnected that, as soon as you finish reading them, you want to experience their characters and story all over again had this three times now: with Harry Potter when I was younger, Dune a year ago, and Foundation more recently

i remember feeling this way about the Redwall series. Lots of later throwbacks and story loops made the series arc feel contiguous. I've since re-read Harry Potter as a grown up and... eh, feels more ad hoc than I remember. JKR loves her deus ex machina literary devices 😁

yea read HP twice when I was younger but don't think it would give the same feeling if i reread it now

It's still fun just not as tightly written as her sci-fi fantasy peers. HP was a cultural movement besides.
