This is hilarious but IMO the peeps who make stuff like this try to put blue-collar work in a negative light. In my neighborhood there are yuppies who are worse off than my blue-collar neighbors. (As in the yuppies live paycheck-to-paycheck, and the blue-collar neighbors paid off their mortgage, are on track to retire, etc.) Work is work and all that matters is that you can provide a middle-class life for you and your family w/o debt or living to work.

Depends on the blue-collar work For example Unskilled factory work like in the image above is likely to have a lower wage than most hourly jobs (Walmart, etc). Usually doesn’t require additional eduction Working in the trades (plumbing, electrical, etc) can be quite lucrative. But this is largely a service industry / construction / maintenance. Usually requires trade school. Generally, unskilled blue collar work is not going to pay the bills, and those are many of the jobs that have left the US and likely will be replaced with automation before being re-shored.
