wild how i routinely feel more creative and energized to write after busting out a set of heavy kettlebell swings, but mostly spend my days sitting at the computer trying to force creative output then beating myself up when that doesn't work

for me there's an element of "should" and "want" here. doin some exercise still feels very should-coded for me, which makes me resist it. kinda like a kid who's forced to eat veggies, and grows up to hate veggies, even tho if you eat enough veggies you begin to want and crave them cuz they make you feel great

This checks out. For a while I had enough of a routine that I really did want it, but that’s fallen too the way side. Now I’m working to get back there.
