My hot take is that prediction markets are pure gambling – worse than memecoins – and I don't think normalizing them is good for society

gambling itself probably isn’t good for society either but we seem to be trending in that direction

Unfortunately there’s a lot more money to be made in encouraging it then discouraging it from gov lottos to sports bets to memecoins so it seems to me that in societies where we vote with our money the votes are flowing to the supporters of it

i agree, i'd like to stop trending in that direction
