how would you go about it? i imagine there is some intimate work back and forth in getting to aligment of whats needed. do i ask ppl to submit the actual work and pick the best ? or ask to apply and pick from applicants ?

You can ask people to reach out to you with a portfolio of work before starting anything - when I was doing bounties I had a bunch of dashboards I could Meet/Zoom demo to show off my skills. At the same time you can ask questions to see if you will work well with the candidate. If you’re not sure what you want to do this is where you test whether this person can help guide you there. You vary the depth of the above depending on how much you’re budgeting. If you’re not sure about things, find something small to do and see if they deliver.
