Because it’s in the blockchain, straight up editing is impossible. I assume it could be done by simply making a new version of the cast - but then all replies and related would also need to be updated - and if they are edited then that’s another branch of exponential.

An edit would just be a special kind of cast that updates a parent. Same way a delete updates a cast.

Yes, my point is that an immutable blockchain doesn't mean things can't change - blockchain is a ledger, ledgers can record things like "new cast", "deleted cast", and I'm just asking for "updated cast"

The update happens on the process layer and not on the blockchain? I think I mixed up the two there in my response.
