Am I naive about this? What I'm thinking: give me a (semi-private) downvote button. Like = pull them and their graph closer to me, downvote = push them and their graph away. You can still build a universal reputation system on top of this, by looking at people who are universally liked? But you don't punish noobs?

Semi-private: make the data available via API to support open reputation systems, but don't actively show dislikes otherwise it becomes a bullying tool?

Could maybe even make Power Badges dependent upon the user’s account? e.g., FC could run a clustering algorithm on everyone’s graph and then assign Power Badges to leaders w/in each graph. I’d then only see Power Badges for those whose graphs mine is similar to. Or something along those lines.

I think the bigger issue is - how to combat someone who just writes api clients that game a well defined system Maybe a less defined system is one way
