I was on there super early (and have the mug to prove it!). It seemed like it was really starting to decline though after a year or so. Hopefully it's making a comeback!

i think the number of connections and the propensity to form new connections is more important than the strength of those connections

adults with families have a lower propensity to form new connections than kids at school/college

I stopped going on there before ChatGPT, so that wasn't really an issue for me. More like it was starting to feel like high school MySpace. Nothing bad, just not my scene.
