There should be some kind of + points if your account has a discussion with a power user badge account in the past week. Similar valuation to being followed by that user in terms of not being a bot. Small scale discussions (longer = better) is proof of work and what makes Farcaster so cool. Should be valued by algo.

Probably this is already being done behind the scenes but if not, it really should.

Problem: all of these attempts to come up with an automated bot detection algorithm are unreliable and ultimately fail

Solution: give me a pair of 👍 👎 buttons and let me use it to push/pull subgraphs of users towards/away from me

Problem: people don't want to publicly 👎 

Solution: replace 👎 with a Report Cast button that doesn't publicly publish my downvote, but still acts on it behind the scenes

That's definitely happening with stuff like Gitcoin Passport, but I think it can still be gamed, and excludes a whole bunch of non-technical people... it's a tough problem for sure!

Struggling to understand if we're agreeing or not...

The fail case in this scenario is that the user engages in a convo with a bot but can’t tell it’s a bot. Which isn’t a problem because of the direction and pace at which ai is developing.

This isn’t about quality of your feed but another way to flag users as genuine. In fact me not following this user is me acting to not let it alter my feed but the user should still get the benefit of being a valuable contributor to the network. 

@deodad I’m guessing this is already being accounted for in some capacity?
