Joe Girard (real name Joseph Semuel Gerard) is an American car dealer. Recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the most successful dealer, he sold at least 13,000 cars from a Chevrolet dealer between 1963 and 1978. The world record was set in 1973, while Joe was working as a car and truck sales manager at Merollis Chevrolet in East Point, Michigan. He was able to sell 1,425 cars that year, which until recently was considered an official world record.
After Joe left the automotive business, he became involved in developing a sales course and public speaking. He traveled to American cities for a long time, giving motivational lectures to sales departments of various companies.
