In retrospect, why didn't Handshake (HNS) work out?

i think it will stay in experimental mode unless it gets more integrated into mainstream browsers. currently need to install fingertip or a bespoke browser which i don't think many people are interested in doing to replace dns. still a bunch of people tinkering and making stuff within the hns eco tho 🤷🏻♀️
