i get the point about small businesses tho. small businesses don't want to maintain a website, especially if their business has nothing really to do with the internet. they just want to advertise their coffee shop or whatever and just think of the internet as a searchable directory like a phonebook

of course, then u get into things like this where platform algorithms start to steer your business decisions and the online flattening carries over to irl ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
