So our 3 year old has some trouble finding the right words and his articulation. We went to a meeting last night to get some tips and tricks... Very interesting, but the thing that blew my mind mostly was what she asked me. When was your last meaningful conversation with someone? I had 0 clue. Shocked.

It's quite baffling how little of them we have. So many of our conversations are just day to day chitchat. It's also very hard to have one for the sake of having it. Although, I also think everyone's definition of a meaningful conversation is different. Do you have an idea of yours?

Just reflecting upon it scared the shit out of it. A meaningful conversation to me is a conversation without a filter or any distractions.. Just being able to openly express yourself about either feelings or opinions. I noticed I always keep everything in me and actually often try to avoid it in most cases.

Great definition, I agree with this, it's these type of conversations that are truly nourishing.
