My work ethic seems to comprise three core values - sense of responsibility - mediocre standards - resistance to futility Net effect: I underpromise but deliver,* except when revealed futility makes me back out of commitments * I sometimes underdeliver, but rarely overdeliver except by accident. But simple delivery often looks like overdelivery when most people overpromise and underdeliver

I literally just phoned it in one day with a single draft It wasn’t a carefully planned and edited essay. Zero QA or complex rewrites. It was just a single-sitting brain dump. So are most of my hit posts The heavily worked pieces almost never do well

I think heavily worked pieces are more for personal development. I end up researching a bunch and then through the process learn a lot about myself.
