Playboi Carti is supposed to be dropping a new album today. 
Here's a few thoughts about it..

-300k in the first week? Fans have been waiting years for this.

-I hope this shakes things up, hip-hop has been in a weird place recently.

-Akademics said theres one thing we're going to be talking about after the album drops...

-I think Carti has been making ground breaking music as of late. I think he is the most popular artist in the world rn. I think he leads the industry, and sets A LOT of trends. I think he influences the culture almost as much as Future does, maybe even more with the younger artists.

-His production is very important to his recipe..his songs make you feel things, almost making the actual words irrelevant. Same thing with Yeat.

I think he's more popular with the youth than future. But that's conversation for another day.

Future still ranks above when you sum it all up, but if you're focused on the youngin's Carti might snag the upper hand.

I even think their genres are a bit different cause carti is a full on rapper while future switches in and out of rnb sometimes.

most young boys aren't playing future everyday..but when an interview drops with Pharrell, and Mixtape Pluto just came out, and Pharrell is hype, rapping the words, and saying its the hottest thing out right now, he understands the culture..future it still arguably the most influential rapper in the game IMO.
