"the essential paradox of wilderness conservation is that we seek to preserve what must change" is also interesting from an environmental stance of the internet. Its not about restoring nerd nostalgia from the 90s of the internet.

i think this was a really good part. a lot of writing about "saving the internet" is about going backwards and see new tech as unhealthy intrusions in the ecosystem. i like how this article focuses forward as a way to restore what was good in the past
