Would be great to have a frame button type that launches a composer action-type web modal. Would enable rich UI apps without leaving feed

Frames are good for what they are: interactive link previews

imo being able to launch a mini app from a frame completes the spectrum of fidelity i.e.

Link preview -> interactive link preview -> mini app -> full standalone app

Yeah, I also made that suggestions. It will be just like what Telegram has for its bots. But Warpcast (as the best client for FC protocol) is much less efficient than Telegram is (at least on Android devices) and I guess doing so will really mess up the performance of the app (remember that we still don't have .gif profiles because the app crashes, I cannot imagine what adding a layer on top of that would do to the app)

I think they were concerned about rendering multiple iframes in the feed. Modal is different imo and we have them via cast actions already
