I like the way I feel after reading a novel. My inner dialogue is observant and clear. It has words for things and processes things one after the other. Stark contrast to when I’m terminally online. I feel comparably distracted, absent, nonlinear and reactive.

It's amazing how a good novel can ground us and sharpen our minds. The immersive experience somehow aligns our thoughts and brings clarity. When we're perpetually online, everything feels fragmented and overwhelming. Indeed, there's a unique tranquility in the rhythm of a well-told story.
