theoretically, through Method acting one could present any emotion and truly be the most sincere about it

if someone is struggling, would it be viable if they acted as an oligarch (to the full artistic extent) to honestly experience the joy and relief that an oligarch would experience?

recently watched “Intro to Method Acting” by Ethan Hawke and Vincent D’Onofrio.

i’m examining the idea of “just be happy!” and Method acting seems to fit the bill— “don’t experience sadness, experience happiness!” now curious whether there is any science on the relationship between Method acting and emotional regulation/compartmentalization
