Had an interesting conversation in a gc. If you have shilled your art (appropriately and in the right context not a cold shill) to a collector on one of their threads. How many times is too many to show them the same work?

I don’t believe there is a right answer. I can see a piece several times and maybe on the 4th time my mindset is in a different space and I see something different. Or maybe I like it but on the 6th time I see it I had some art sales that I can now afford it. Sometimes things change. That being said I probably would t shill the same piece too often to the same collector.

2 times max is probably the sweet spot. I've gotten lucky a few times in the past - a little well-timed "shill" (gotta be smooth, though!) and bam, a cool collector scooped it up. But yeah, some folks just might not vibe with the work, and that's okay too! 100 $SILKY for love and appreciation. ❤️

It’s really hard to say what they see and when they purchase. They might get to your piece and have no more funds. And maybe miss it the next time because of the algo. I would say no more than 3.

Depends on how crowded that thread is.If u r lucky to get within early response slot, they might see ur work.Otherwise its better to try another time..There is no definite time frame for this actually.. Also, if you showed same work multiple times with no response, dont continue the chase.😊

I saw one say something about this the other day actually. Some get so many notifications they don't see everything. So it's appropriate to shill the same one multiple times. For me, probably if they've liked it a few times but say nothing or don't collect I will quit
