Dogs

This girl spent three and a half hours at the dog park yesterday as she wouldn’t come home no matter how many times we called her. 

She’s very good to everything else. Just this seems to be an issue.

Any tips are greatly appreciated!

positive reinforcement can help like training with treats. for example, whenever she comes back give her a treat and over some time that just builds up the habit. my dog at my parent's home used to get nervous every time we go out without him. then we started giving him his treat bone before leaving. he kinda gets excited now whenever we are going out.

Thanks for the recommendation! She'll come back for treats! The issue is that when we go to put on her leash to take her out of the dog park, she runs away! She used to run with her tail down in the past, but now she'll run away with her tail up so not sure if she thinks we're trying to play with her or not haha.

haha! it sounds like she is having a lot of fun.
