2/ In the world that we live in, we're hyperaware of people's social media followings, professional contexts etc. which greatly inform who we interact with and how we interact with them. Mutual interests and backgrounds can be great qualifiers for who we become from friends with, but we believe that the content of our relationships—how people make us feel, think, learn—can sometimes take a backseat, when we focus so heavily on context.

3/ This can happen even within communities, where existing social hierarchies, often informed by legacy Web2 algorithms, can lead to missed opportunities for good conversations and relationships.
