Is anyone else testing out Bard? I have been for a bit and am now seeing a difference of far fewer/to no ads in regular google search results tied to that account vs search results for the same terms in other google accounts. Would love to know if anyone else is seeing this.

I have a suspicion they are stress testing SERP results too. There have been an increasing amount of complaints about ads taking over the entire “first page” of results and poor  user experience in general. There is no way they are rolling this out without thinking about next gen and revenue impacts.

interesting to say the least. How would you say BARD is compared to ChatGPT? I cannot test it as I'm in Europe.

At the moment, Bard is still text only. I got some far superior results with Bard on concepts but Bing knew some lesser known people. I think there are currently some insights that give you a peek behind the curtain into how Google search works. I can get very different results in Bard vs search.

There are citations/sources listed/linked in Bing chat but none in the summaries from Bard. Instead there is a Google it button &Bard suggests a search query. That query is drilled down to a keyword vs the full query phrase you use. Bard seems to do a better job matching the keyword to your intent vs regular Google.

PS by Bing I mean Bing Chat which is powered by Chat GPT and apparently has some GPT4 capabilities.
