This is because the market maker brazenly dropped almost all his coins on the heads of greedy fans of buying on highs and now it is simply unprofitable for him to pump the price again, because he has practically no coins left. He needs time to collect the «bag» again, with which it will make sense to provoke growth. In trader’s terminology, this is called the «reaccumulation zone» and in the time interval it can stretch for a very long time 🤝
