Qustion about ETH and BTC etc in a post quantum world, what happens to the 'dead' wallets? I've seen estimates that like 20% of BTC is lost (lost keys, holders incapacitated etc), I assume a fair amount of ETH is in the same position. Assuming forks and wallet upgrades for the liquid coins, wouldn't it still be a huge problem in terms of some actor gaining access to wallets that won't be upgraded? Are there solutions in the works?

I think it’s less of an issue for ETH but there are some discussions in the bitcoin community to burn the coins. Also there are mechanisms where if the wallet was generated with a seed phrase you can freeze the coins until a proof was generated from the seed phrase to prove ownership https://blog.lopp.net/against-quantum-recovery-of-bitcoin/
