I can't speak for anyone but myself, but before using @farcaster I wasn't very familiar or comfortable with bridging to and using L2s. The catalyst for me was when $degen airdrop 1 multiplier rewards required collecting some NFTs across Optimism, Base and Zora - forcing me to use them and realize how great they are.

Exactly the same! I think it was @kugusha.eth who went and found some statistics about her own interaction with her wallet en classified them into buckets, and it was quite fun and recognisable to read for me. I do many actions on chain now that definitely can be classified more as fun than financial.
