I would love to know more about intended use case and stuff. As a Dutch guy and ex cyclist I have feelings about hem. But they can be super great and definitely have their place!

yeah i feel you, have been watching them evolve over the years with curiosity but never felt it was time til recently. there are more compact and powerful options now that make sense to be a supplement to my usual gravel ride for those times when i just wanna do a couple miles to the grocery + errands or out for a meal in a hilly part of the city. tbh i've never loved wearing my street wear on my gravel bike in a more aggressive riding geometry (commuted for many years and was always changing clothes0 -- having something stable with fat tires and a more upright ride is a sweet spot + e-assist means i can make it up some hills and not be a sweaty mess when i arrive. 😅 (so vanity?) here's the one i'm eyeing... https://www.specialized.com/us/en/haul-st/p/277759?color=442436-277759&searchText=91023-8100U

O that one I actually do like! I hate the move to all thing fatbike, but this one seems so just be normal enough that I can see many practical uses for it. Although I hate the geometry on most, not sure if this one is much better. Too upright is a bad thing imho. Although I do like this one having a pretty high saddle. Have you considered a nice small cargo bike as well?

agreed re: upright geometry, i’ve never enjoyed cruiser style upright. especially on a 700c wheel. saw this one in person the other day and can say it’s a nice mid ground; not too upright, not too aggressive. the tires are nice and wide, tho not too fat. i checked out other smaller cargo st options and also like tern. they are more traditionally compact and bicycle vibe vs borderline moped/scooter.
