Lillian F. Schwartz (born 1927) is an American artist considered a pioneer of computer-mediated art and one of the first artists notable for basing almost her entire oeuvre on computational media. Many of her ground-breaking projects were done in the 1960s and 1970s.

I agree with all your points. I did a thread on X last week about her various outputs that got 1 like. (so depressing!)

I feel very lucky to have gotten a signed first edition, too. 

Hopefully more ppl will come around.

Very happy to see this here. I have this book and it was on my list to post. Lillian F. Schwartz has been, in my opinion, a bit overlooked. The computer animation work she did with Kenneth Knowlton at Bell Labs is very is radical and aesthetically strong. Her work has stood the test of time well.
