Q1. What’s your elevator pitch?

"We are a collective of founders, creators, IPs, and brands sharing the goal of advancing the creator economy. We are building the Based Creators Directory and the Create on Base Hub with Base and Coinbase, while also contributing to Base.org and Coinbase Wallet. Our upcoming launchpad enables creators to make art, music, games, apps, and events on Base with no code. Q2. Can you share a favorite screenshot or two of your app or prototype?

"Yes. Here are screenshots of the Based Creators Directory, currently in GTM planning with @coinbase. We are doing an IRL joint activation with Coinbase at @farcon, onboarding creators live, including top creators on /base and /warpcast."

Q3. Are you working on any enhancements or new features?

"Yes. After launching the MVP of the Based Creators Directory, we will expand it into the Create on Base Hub, which aggregates no-code tools from community builders, Base, Coinbase, and TheCreators Collective. This hub will provide education and use cases to onboard web2 creators seamlessly onto Base. Our focus is making wallet integrations frictionless to help bring the world onchain through creators and their fans."

Q4. What’s the hardest part about building a new app or protocol?

“Building a protocol is like building a cultural movement, and we are doing both. We are an open, permissionless collective—anyone can join or start a chapter of The Creators. If you create from the heart, you’re a creator and already part of it. If you build something useful for creators, we integrate it, display it in the Create on Base Hub, and build on top of it. The hardest part is the dedication to see the vision through. Since founding TheCreators.com in 2012, I’ve believed that creators, builders, and memes are inherently valuable, not commodities. What keeps us going is the same belief, shared by people worldwide, who are ready to take back the culture.”

Q5. What’s been the biggest surprise on your journey so far?

"The biggest surprise is the journey itself, for me and many of our founding members. I started TheCreators.com in 2012 as a web2 branding agency and was surprised when it became the largest in Colorado. I invested in /gamestop in December 2020 and was caught off guard by the January 2021 squeeze and what followed. As a die-hard GME ape, I never expected to be offered a job at GameStop NFT as Head of Education & Community, where I helped onboard hundreds of thousands into web3. Now, not much surprises me anymore, but I will say Base and Coinbase have been incredibly supportive of new builders and creators, which has been refreshing."

Q6. What past jobs or life experiences led you to this moment?

👉 2012-2021: Owner, designer, animator, producer at TheCreators.com, a web2 branding agency that became the largest in Colorado.
👉 2021-2022: Head of Education & Community at GameStop NFT, where I helped onboard mass-market players, collectors, and creators into web3.
👉 2022-Present: Owner, founding member, designer, developer, animator, and producer at TheCreators Collective, building the next wave of onchain creativity.

Q7. What attracted you to building on Base?

"After GameStop NFT shut down, no one was left to support the creators and collectors who made that platform what it was. I took it upon myself to help those who wanted to continue building, searching for the right home. We explored every major chain and L2, looking for a place where creators could truly own their platform.

"The difference with Base was night and day. Being supported as builders and creators here was a completely different experience from the ecosystems we came from. After participating in Base-native projects like @nouns, @ownthedoge, @guildxyz, and @warpcast, we realized this was the right place for us to build."

Q8. Where do you see your app in five years if it succeeds and fulfills your wildest vision?

"Our collective will be worldwide, leading creative industries, driving a new onchain economy for creators, and incentivizing people to think creatively. We will be a force for human creativity in an age of AI-generated content, proving that originality and artistic vision are invaluable. The goal is to be an unstoppable force in the onchain creative movement, standing strong against an era of AI-powered anti-creative adversity."

Q10. What advice would you give to a fresh, first-time founder?

"Go at your own pace and don’t try to be like the rest. Focus on being the best you, not on the competition. Deliver the best experience, product, and vibes you can. Relentlessly persist, embrace failure, and keep building. Break big goals into steps and start today. Don’t say yes to everything. Have faith in what you’re building, and put your full heart into it. Learn to embrace adversity, plan for the worst, and keep a positive outlook. Make every day count, but also take care of yourself. When you need to be creative, remove urgency from your mind—step away, reset, and explore new ideas. Find like-minded people and support them. Look for ways to contribute to the greater ecosystem when building on Base and Ethereum. Don’t give up on people. Believe in something. Create something every day."

Most crypto natives I've talked to seem to hate it. Ironically, that deepens my love for it 😅 

I don't think $DRB is as big as BTC, but I love that it's deflationary like you mention, and that it's the first major LLM w a token. I imagine Grok will be with us for many years to come, and DRB is part of its story/journey now

Also do you have any opinions formed on $DRB ?

I like your narrative thinking because it helps me wrap my mind around complex topics and I wanted to know what do you think about it.

Some are calling it the next biggest narrative since btc, and I do think it sounds really good, grok can’t sell so it’s inherently deflationary
