BASED BUILDER INTERVIEWS #4: Meet @dish at /clankers @clanker! Q1. What’s your protocol’s elevator pitch? "Clanker is a protocol that enables stakeholder-aligned token-launching on any platform, app, or feed. Creators make money on trading fees rather than needing to sell their clanker to make a profit."

Q3. What’s the hardest part about building a new app or protocol? "Hardest part is ranking new features / implementations based on how much impact it'll make on the ecosystem versus building something that an external resource wants. We try to put out products quickly that'll cause a ripple effect and will double down on that feature if it gains traction (see presales, vaulting)."

Q4. What’s been the biggest surprise on your journey so far? "I would say the biggest surprise has been me realizing the reality that we build quickly but the administration, legal, and entity setup takes soooo much time and is out of my control really. Also realizing how costly it is to turn a side project into a legit business. It feels good to be doing things right and by the book! Also, people who have been supportive in the past are now some of our biggest skeptics. Also the momentum gains naturally, I credit a lot of /clanker's traction to natural flow of social virality which is new to me (first time going semi-viral)."

Q5. What past jobs/life experiences led you to this moment? "I've been an employee at 5 startups as an early engineer, never been a founder before and all five I have seen sink. I feel like I've gained a good pulse on what doesn't work at startups to preserve runway and maximize shots on goal. Additionally, I feel like my previous experiences dealing with executive leaderships has equipped me with the do's and don'ts as a team player. Never lose touch with the product you're building and the people you're building with."

Q6. What attracted you to building on Base? "Cheap gas fees! Also @coinbase as an industry leader gave me confidence I can trust the chain, even if it's a fed chain rn. Also I was interviewing at /base as I built /clanker."
