It's a wonderful season in Kyoto right now, so there are a lot of people there... When I was a child, I often played at a place called Shinsenen in Kyoto, but now it has become a tourist destination, and when I went there for the first time in a while in the summer, there were a lot of people there.💦

oh woww I think I haven’t been there, I just googled it and it looks beautiful 🫶 but yeah I can imagine the amount of tourists and crowd it would have in today’s time 🥲 the good and bad of things I suppose 🤷🏻♀️

If you are going to Shinsen-en, you should visit a pastry shop called "Nakajimaya" in the Sanjo shopping street; it is run by a 90 year old man and may only be open on days when he is in good health, but the pastries there are very particular and some are hard to find. I love their Sansho Arare.
