Try placing your finger tips closer to the frets like this (on the picture). it's counterintuitive at first. I had that a-ha moment when i realized i'm placing fingers in the middle bettween two frets, where it's the hardest to actually push enough to make a note. And it really hurts. ofc it could be also about the fretboard curve and strings to far from frets, but first try placing your fingers the "right way". Anyway with enough practice your fingers will develop resilience

This is so me :D I started learning guitar a few month ago and for the first two weeks I was struggling with my skin being so sensitive. The tips on my finger got used to it after, but it got back to normal after a month of not playing and now I don't have the courage to pick the guitar again xD
