Myself and @cadillion ran the numbers on quantum progress: https://quantumdoomclock.com/ This doesn't yet have Majorana since it's #1, but add a 0 after the . on the p value on the math page and you'll see that MS's estimate of having useful quantum computers in around 3 years is entirely plausible given all the progress.

The bitcoin maxis reveling in the bybit hack touting ui supremacy must not do much interesting with their bitcoin šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø ui/ux issues are everywhere in crypto, even in bitcoin. I am surprised an org with 1b+ wallets couldn't spring for secure interfaces, but maybe the details will tell a different story.

Whenever I get asked about why I am in crypto I go on a rant which makes me look like a conspiracy theorist, so it's really nice to see someone with a legal background explain (part of) the problem. (The other part are the data vampires running the system using it against you). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Zt6y8YuoyM

Assuming accurate reporting, we all need to condemn the recent arrest of Telegramā€™s #PavelDurov in France regardless of how you feel about him or Telegram. Refusing to moderate otherā€™s speech is not terrorism. It is not conspiracy to commit a crime. Pavelā€™s arrest is a stain on the central fraternity between France and the US in supposedly being the worldā€™s defenders of free speech and liberty. France is continuing an unfortunate tradition our governments have of ignoring our values whenever it is convenient. This is both wrong and short sighted. While I understand the ā€œTelegram is not E2EE and gives full access to Russiaā€ sentiment (e.g., https://www.wired.com/story/the-kremlin-has-entered-the-chat/ ), I believe this is an L take. In this context, it is saying if you are capable of moderating then you should be required to do so per government orders.
