Even Oppenheimer and Barbie are in a sense nostalgic remakes. They harken back to a time when DC could ship the Manhattan Project and when children had innocent toys. Like Top Gun or the Marvel movies, they’re about a glorious fictionalized past. Contrast to Black Mirror’s depiction of a dystopic future…
