Farcaster bots—whether LLM-powered (e.g., Clanker, bankr) or standard (e.g., paybot, Farcastles)—should be more deeply integrated into the protocol, similar to how Discord bots function.

Users should be able to add a bot just as they would a Frame v2 or cast action. Developers could create custom triggers using slash commands that call external APIs, enabling more dynamic interactions.

This approach would also help reduce spam in the feed, as only users who have opted into a bot would see posts from others using it. Additionally, like Discord, bots could support private messages visible only to the user, which could be dismissed as needed.
