Some days I question what I’m even doing in this space. 

I believe that the tech itself is neutral. But turns out the only real well proven use case is speculation, the capital is excessive venture funding, and the core demographic is mid 20s male libertarians.

What keeps you going? What are you optimistic about?

I don't see this as true (maybe just my POV), but I wouldn't be upset if it was.

I lost a lot (like a lot) of buddies to the alt-right pipeline, and alienation/disenfranchisememt is the common thread among all of them.

This is a place where those dudes can get paid and make friends. That alone can shift the tide.
